About: Originally a fisherman named Simon, Peter was called by Jesus to leave his nets and follow Him. Often outspoken and impetuous, he became a leading voice among the apostles. After denying Jesus on the night of His arrest, Peter was restored by the risen Christ. Now, empowered by the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, he boldly preaches the message of salvation through Jesus to the crowds in Salem (Jerusalem).
